David Houghton

Elder

David Houghton and his family joined Heritage in 2010. He teaches one of our adult Bible studies on Sunday mornings. David served as one of our deacons and now serves as an elder. His wife and he homeschool their three children. David serves in the Business College at Oklahoma Baptist University where he encourages the faculty and students to become change agents in our world. David's testimony regarding his experience at Heritage reads, "My family has been gone from 'home' ever since I finished graduate school decades ago. The Church has been our family ever since, and Heritage has been our family for 8 years now. 'Family' is not an understatement. A few times over the last eight years I have been temped to pursue other professional opportunities. A significant factor that has caused me to reject that and to stay in Shawnee is the family assembled at Heritage. Each of you is a blessing to me and to the rest of the Houghtons. "
